HTO, DFO, and TTO are gaining more and more traction as research is supporting their use not only for management of arthritic joints in active patients, but in the treatment of isolated chondral lesions, meniscal root repair and multi-planar instability patterns. With the advent of patient specific instrumentation and more attention at conferences, we can expect the numbers of these procedures to increase, as well as the amount of intra-operative and post-operative complications that require prompt attention. This session will discuss both data-driven issues as well as historical complications from high-volume osteotomy surgeons through presentations followed by a case panel with significant peri-operative and post-operative complications.
Achieve an algorithm to plan step by step a well done osteotomy, with pearls and pitfalls to avoid and addressed the most frequent complications.
