Welcome to the 12TH Biennial ISAKOS Congress and the beautiful city of Cancun! The Program Committee, led by Stefano Zaffagnini, MD, Prof. from Italy and Volker Musahl, MD from the United States, have worked diligently for two years to develop a challenging and educationally diverse scientific program reflecting the interests and desires of
the society’s members. The ISAKOS Congress is the signature event of our society, bringing together world leaders in our specialties of arthroscopy, knee surgery and orthopaedic
sports medicine.
Known for its international dialogue,
the ISAKOS Congress is a unique opportunity for the exchange of scientific information by reconnecting with old
friends, and networking with colleagues from around the world.
The 12TH Biennial ISAKOS Congress has brought more than 4,500 orthopaedic surgeons, allied health personnel, residents and fellows to the great city of Cancun.
The ISAKOS Congress Scientific Program emphasizes evidence based medicine, new surgical techniques, and basic science. We hope you enjoy the broad array of instructional courses, surgical demonstrations, debates, lectures, symposia, scientific paper presentations and electronic posters demonstrations. Overall,
there are more than 1,800 educational opportunities available to attendees, in addition to the technical exhibits, demonstrating the newest orthopaedic surgical technology. The ISAKOS Congress has a large, diverse and multidisciplinary faculty, who are enthusiastic about instructing on basic research, operative techniques, and technical pearls and pitfalls.
Cancun offers something for everyone, and we hope you will enjoy your stay and take advantage of the tour assistance provided. The ISAKOS Congress will also host a variety of social events such as the Welcome Reception for all Congress attendees and their guests, a spouse and guest program and a special tour program. You and your guests are invited to the Welcome Reception on
Sunday, May 12.
