Dr. Daniel Green is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon at the Hospital for Special Surgery. Dr Green is a Professor of Clinical Orthopedic Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College, the Fellowship Director of the Division of Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery, and the Associate Director of the Orthopedic Surgery Residency Training Program at HSS. Dr. Green has been practicing at the Hospital for Special Surgery since 1998, and is a board member of PRISM (Pediatric Research in Sports Medicine) and the PatelloFemoral Foundation. His practice and research interest is the pediatric knee, with over 80% of his surgical practice focused on knee surgery in the child and adolescent. He is an author of over 120 articles and a dozen book chapters on conditions of the knee. His research publications have centered on a number of areas related to the pediatric knee, including classification of pediatric patella dislocations and tibial spine fractures, surgical treatment of patella dislocations with MPFL reconstruction in the growing child, anatomy of the MPFL ligament and its relationship to the growth plate, and treatment of cartilage injures and fractures associated with patella instability.
