Account Maintenance

I cannot log in to my ISAKOS account.

If you have forgotten your password, click here and enter your email address to have your password re-sent to you. If you have forgotten or lost access to your login email, contact the ISAKOS Office.

 

I tried to create an account but encountered an error that says "Your email already exists in the database." What should I do?

This error indicates that ISAKOS already has a record associated with your email address on file. Click here and enter your email address to retrieve your password and access your account.

 

Congress Registration

I have not received my confirmation email/registration receipt. Am I registered?

If you have not received your confirmation email after registering, please check your spam/junk folders and assure that the @isakos.com domain is whitelisted by your email server. If you still cannot find your registration confirmation, contact the ISAKOS Office.

 

Can I pay for registration with...

A credit card?
You may register online or on-site with a credit card. ISAKOS accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover Card.

A check?
You may pay for registration with a check by enclosing a check drawn in US dollars by a US bank with a completed registration form and mailing it to:

A wire transfer?
If you wish to make a registration payment via wire transfer, please email the ISAKOS Office at register@isakos.com with a completed registration form and the subject line "Congress Registration Wire Transfer Request."

Cash?
You may pay for registration using cash on-site only, and only in US dollars. Please refrain from mailing cash to the ISAKOS Office.

 

I would like to bring my spouse, child, guest, etc. to Congress. Is there a registration category for guests?

Yes, you may register your spouse or guest for the Spouse or Guest Morning Café for US $100 each, which will include access to the café for all five days of the Congress. They will receive their own badge upon check-in and can opt to be included in the ISAKOS 2019 Congress Spouse and Guest Directory.

 

Can I register someone other than myself?

To register an attendee on their behalf, please contact the ISAKOS Office at register@isakos.com.

 

Can I register a group?

You may register two or more attendees simultaneously by contacting the ISAKOS Office at register@isakos.com. Please note that you will be asked to provide a unique email address for each registrant upon registration. There is no registration discount offered for groups.

 

I am not a member, a medical professional, or an exhibitor. Can I still register?

You may request to register as a Non-Exhibiting Company Representative by emailing register@isakos.com. Non-Exhibiting Company Representatives may register at a flat rate of US $2,500 for the entire Congress, and will be permitted to attend all events except company-sponsored Lunchtime Sessions. Requests for Non-Exhibiting Company Representative registrations are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

 

My credit card was declined when I tried to register online. How do I register?

If your card was declined while attempting to register online, please assure that the credit card number, security or verification code, and expiration date are valid and were input correctly. Please note that ISAKOS only accept credit card payments made with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover cards. If you still continue to experience difficulty registering online with a credit card, contact the ISAKOS Office.

 

I cannot attend all five days of the Congress. Can I register for a single day? Can I register at a partial/reduced rate?

You may request to register for a single day by emailing register@isakos.com. Single-Day registration requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. At this time, there are no other partial registration rates offered.

 

Is the Welcome Reception included with my Congress registration?

Yes, registration includes entry into the Welcome Reception, for you and your guests, at no extra charge.

 

Is the Concurrent Course included with my Congress registration?

No, the Concurrent Course is not included with a Congress registration. However, if you have already registered for the Congress, you may register for the Sports Rehabilitation Concurrent Course at the discounted rate of US $20.

 

Are Pre-Courses included with my Congress registration?

No, Pre-Courses are not included in the Congress registration prices. Pre-Course Day registration costs US $200 and includes entry into two Pre-Courses: one morning Pre-Course and one afternoon Pre-Course.

 

I would like to attend the Pre-Courses but cannot attend the Congress. Can I register for Pre-Courses only?

Requests to register for any Pre-Course(s) without registering for the Congress must be submitted to the ISAKOS Office at register@isakos.com and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

 

When will the Registration Desk be open on-site?

The Registration Desk for the 2019 Congress will be open at the Cancun International Convention Center according to the schedule on the Registration page.

 

Can I register on-site?

On-site registration will be available during the Congress. Please check the Registration page for the on-site registration and check-in schedule. You must pay all registration fees at the time of registration.

 

What do I need to bring to check-in?

Please bring a copy of your final registration confirmation and some form of photo ID.

If you have registered as a Resident or Fellow, you must also bring a copy of your proof of status.

If you have registered as an Allied Health professional, you must also bring your allied health license.

If you have registered as an Exhibitor or Company Representative, you must also bring a business card, or other verificable proof of association with the company you are representing or exhibiting with.

 

Congress Faculty & Presenters

If I am a presenter or member of the faculty, is my registration fee waived?

Because the ISAKOS Congress is a biennial event and due to the large number of presenters participating in the ISAKOS Congress, presenters’ registration fees are not waived. ISAKOS does offer a discounted registration rate for faculty or presenters. If you are a presenter who qualifies for a lower registration rate (e.g. Resident/Fellow, ISAKOS Member Physician) please register at the lower registration rate.

 

I am presenting a paper or poster at the Congress. Do I have to register? At which rate?

All paper and poster presenters must register to attend the Congress. If you are a paper or poster presenter, you may register at the lowest registration rate you qualify for, including the Presenter/Faculty rate.

 

My paper or poster is being presented, but I cannot attend the Congress. Will my paper or poster still be presented?

Yes, as long as the presenting author is attending to present the paper or poster at the Congress.

 

Registration Rates & Discounts

I am an Associate/Active/Emeritus Member of ISAKOS. How do I register at the Member Physician rate?

To register at the Member Physician rate, log in to myCongress using your ISAKOS login email and password. When you go to register, the Member Physician rate will be included in your registration options.

If you are already an ISAKOS Member, do not create a new account to register for the Congress. Otherwise, your Member account will not be recognized and the system will require you to register at the Non-Member Physician rate. If you have trouble accessing your current ISAKOS account, contact the ISAKOS Office with your name, email address, and member ID number.

 

I have not paid my ISAKOS membership dues for 2019 / My membership dues are outstanding. Can I still register for the Congress at the Member Physician rate?

If you have outstanding dues at the time of registration, those dues will be collected along with the Congress registration fees. You will still be registered at the Member Physician rate.

 

I am an Active/Associate Member of ISAKOS and a current Resident/Fellow. At which rate should I register?

Please register for the lowest-priced category you qualify for. If you are an Active or Associate Member and a resident or fellow, you may register at the Resident or Fellow rate (whichever category applies). Please note that, if you register in one of the Resident or Fellow categories, you will be asked to provide proof of residency or fellowship upon registration and/or upon check-in. Without proper proof, you will be asked to pay the full Member Physician registration price.

Note: ISAKOS Fellow Members do not have to provide proof of fellowship if the proof of status they uploaded while applying for membership has been verified and approved by the ISAKOS Office prior to the Congress.

 

I am an Emeritus Member. At which rate should I register?

Please register at the Member Physician rate.

 

I am an Honorary Member. At which rate should I register?

Honorary Members receive waived registration to all ISAKOS Congresses. If you are an Honorary Member, this waived registration will be available to you when you login and register for the Congress online.

If you are a newly-appointed Honorary Member, you will be registered for the upcoming Congress by the ISAKOS Office upon the announcment of your appointment to Honorary status. Your registration to the Congress, and all future Congresses, will be waived.

Please note that for all Honorary Members, Congress registration is waived, but any registration add-ons, including Pre-Courses, Concurrent Courses, the Spouse and Guest Morning Café, etc. are the responsibility of the registrants.

 

I would like to register in either of the Resident or Fellow categories? What proof of status is required?

Registrants who register in the Resident or Fellow categories will be asked to provide verificable proof of residency or fellowship. This may come in the form of a letter from a Program Chair or organizer verifying your status as a resident or fellow, and a photo ID. If a registrant who has registered as a resident or Fellow does not provide proof of in time for on-site check-in, they will be asked to pay the full Non-Member Physician registration rate.

Note: ISAKOS Fellow Members do not have to provide proof of fellowship if the proof of status they uploaded while applying for membership has been verified and approved by the ISAKOS Office prior to the Congress.

 

I would like to register in the Allied Health category. What proof of status is required?

Registrants who register in the Allied Health category will be asked to provide verifiable proof of allied health status. This may come in the form of an allied health license and a photo ID. If a registrant who has registered in the Allied Health category does not provide proof of status by on-site check-in, they will be asked to pay the full Non-Member Physician registration rate.

 

I am an ISAKOS award winner/fellowship recipient. Do I have to register? At which rate?

The following people will receive waived registration to the ISAKOS Congress, and will be registered for the Congress by the ISAKOS Office (Any add-ons, i.e. Pre-Courses, the Sports Rehabilitation Concurrent Course, the Spouse and Guest Morning Café, are the responsibility of the registrant unless otherwise stated):

- Jan I. Gillquist Scientific Research Award finalists

I am a sales representative for an exhibiting company, how do I register for the Congress?

Until January 31, 2019, exhibitor representatives can register via myCongress for a discounted rate of US $675. Between January 21, 2019 and March 31, 2019, exhibitor representatives may register for US $750.

Exhibitor representatives are unable to register for the ISAKOS Congress until the company they are affiliated with has received an exhibit space assignment and confirmation letter.

Exhibitor representatives who do not register before March 31, 2019 can register on-site for US $825. Please note: All exhibitor representatives will be required to show proof of affiliation with the exhibiting company (e.g. a business card) and a photo ID, at the on-site registration desk, in order to receive their badge.

 

Is there a registration discount for groups?

ISAKOS does not offer a registration discount for groups at this time.

 

Is there a registration discount for students?

ISAKOS does not offer a registration discount for students at this time.

 

If I am a member of an ISAKOS Partner Society, do I receive a discount for my registration fees?

ISAKOS does not offer registration discounts to members of Partner Societies. Registration discounts are only available to Active, Associate, and Emeritus members of ISAKOS.

 

Manage Existing Registration

I did not include my spouse or guest(s) when I completed my original registration. Can I add them?

Log in to myCongress to make any changes to your registration record. Please note that an additional fee of US $100 will be charged per each spouse or guest added to your registration.

 

I have already registered for the Congress and would like to change my ICL selections. How do I do this?

Log in to myCongress to make any changes to your current registration. No payment will be required to change your ICL selections. Simply make the changes desired and resubmit your registration form. Please note: you will receive a new confirmation email reflecting the changes and/or additions made to your registration.

 

I have already registered for the ISAKOS Congress but would like to add a Pre-Course, how do I do this?

Please log in to myCongress to make changes to your current registration record. Additional payment of the Pre-Course Day registration fee will be required.

 

Congress Events & Offerings

What day are the ISAKOS Pre-Courses?

All ISAKOS Pre-Courses are being held on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Cancun International Convention Center. Early registration is recommended as space is limited. Please register online via the Registration page.

 

Will any of the Congress sessions or events be translated? / Will translation services be available?

Two of the six pre-courses will be presented entirely in Spanish: Updating and Upgrading the Knee Surgical Techniques & Updating and Upgrading the Shoulder Surgical Techniques. As ISAKOS is an English-speaking society, all other Congress events and sessions will be presented in English, unless otherwise stated. Translation services will not be offered.

 

Where is the Sports Rehabilitation Concurrent Course being held?

The Sports Rehabilitation Concurrent Course is being held at the Cancun International Convention Center on Sunday, May 12 through Tuesday, May 14, 2019. Early registration is recommended as space is limited. Please register online via the Registration page.

 

Can I have the contact information (phone number, email address, etc.) of this presenter/faculty member/guest/committee member?

ISAKOS is not authorized to share the contact information of our faculty, guests, members, or registrants to non-members. ISAKOS Members may access the Member Directory by logging in to their ISAKOS account and going to https://www.isakos.com/Directory/.

 

CME Certification

How many CME Hours can I claim for attending the Congress? What about the Pre-Courses or Sports Rehabilitation Concurrent Course?

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Sports Medicine. The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

 

How do I claim my CME Certificate?

Immediately after the Congress, attendees will receive an email from ISAKOS with a link to an online evaluation. Once the course evaluation has been completed, an automatic link to download and print CME Certificate(s) will be provided. Attendees may log in to myCongress at any time, after completion of the evaluation to download or print certificates.

 

How can I obtain a Presenter Certificate?

Presenter Certificates will be available for each presentation, individually, in myCongress. Please note, only presenting authors are listed on certificates for e-posters and scientific papers.

 

Travel, Tours & Guests

Why is a visa letter $100? Do I need one?

Upon registration, all registrants will automatically receive a digital copy of a personalized visa invitation letter, in English and Spanish, at no charge. This letter is free of charge, and can be accessed and downloaded by logging in to myCongress and clicking Visa Letter.

Registrants may purchase an optional embossed hard copy of their visa invitation letter for US $100. This fee is to cover international shipping costs for the letter to be mailed via traceable shipping from the ISAKOS Office.

Mexico Visa Policy permits citizens of the following countries to travel to Mexico without a visa (FMTTV):

How do I book accomodation/hotels/tours for the Congress?

Intermeeting is the official agency endorsed by ISAKOS to manage lodging and accommodations. ISAKOS Membership

How do I become an ISAKOS Member in time for the 12th Biennial Congress?

Applications for ISAKOS membership may be completed online at isakos.com/Membership. Applications for new members must be completed and received by the ISAKOS Office by February 28, 2019 to qualify for the discounted Congress registration rate.

The ISAKOS Membership Committee will meet during the Congress to review all eligible Associate Members for promotion to Active membership status.

 

I am an Associate Member of ISAKOS. When will I become an Active Member?

Associate Members are eligible to become Active Members after they have obtained a completed sponsorship request and attended one ISAKOS Congress.

Associate Members eligible for Active membership will be reviewed by the Membership Committee at the next Membership Committee meeting. Eligible Associate Members will next be reviewed for Active membership at:

- AAOS in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, in March, 2019.
- The 12th Biennial ISAKOS Congress in Cancun, Mexico, in May, 2019.
