Professor Mohamed A. Imam MD, MSc, D. SportMed, ELP (Oxon), PhD, FRCS (Tr & Orth) is a fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in upper limb surgery, sports injuries, and complex trauma and based in the Rowley Bristow Unit in the south west of London. With extensive training in renowned centres in the UK, Europe, and the USA, he performs over 500 procedures annually using advanced techniques such as computer navigation and bespoke joint replacements. Professor Imam is an active researcher with over 120 peer-reviewed publications, 12 textbook chapters, and multiple clinical trials focused on AI and ML in orthopaeidcs, orthobiologics, tendon repair and transfers, advanced arthroscopy and total joint replacements. He also integrates AI and augmented reality into medical innovation through the Smart Health Centre in London. A passionate educator, he holds a professorship at the University of East London and is a member of several international orthopaedic societies.
