New York University New York, NY UNITED STATES Dr. Heath P. Gould completed his premedical studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), while also gaining recognition as an all-conference linebacker on the school’s NCAA football team. Dr. Gould went on to medical school at Case Western Reserve University, where he was awarded an M.D. with Honors and Distinction in Research. He then completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital (Georgetown University), during which he collected several national research awards and was named to the Forbes "30 Under 30" list in the Sports category. Dr. Gould has published over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles and has delivered over 100 presentations pertaining to his research in sports medicine. He also serves on the editorial board of the Arthroscopy Journal and as a peer reviewer for the American Journal of Sports Medicine and Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research. After completion of his dual fellowship training in New York, Dr. Gould will begin his academic sports medicine practice at Sanford Health in Grand Forks, ND, where he will serve as medical director for the University of North Dakota athletic department.
