Stefano Di Paolo is a biomedical engineer researcher at Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute in Bologna, Italy. He is the lab manager of the Orthopedic and Traumatologic Clinic II (head: Prof. Stefano Zaffagnini) at Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute and collaborates with the Education and Research Department of the Isokinetic Medical Group, FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence in Bologna (head: Dr. Francesco Della Villa). He holds a PhD in Applied Biomechanics at the University of Bologna. His research activities include biomechanical testing of human movement in ACL injury prevention, rehabilitation, and return to sport, with focus on development, validation, and deployment of innovative technologies. He has published over 70 scientific papers and book chapters in bioengineering, orthopedics, and sports medicine and serves as Guest Lecturer for Medicine and Surgery at the University of Bologna.
