The University of Melbourne Whangarei NEW ZEALAND I am a New Zealand Orthopaedic Registrar who has taken a sabbatical to complete a PhD at The University of Melbourne, Australia. My PhD looks at improving patient selection for total knee arthroplasty. In particular, I am developing a prognostic tool using machine learning to predict patient satisfaction after total knee arthroplasty. My research interests include arthroplasty (hips, knees, and shoulders), machine learning / artificial intelligence use in medicine, big data analysis, and health economics.
