UniSports Orthopaedics Auckland, Auckland NEW ZEALAND Bruce Twaddle is a New Zealand trained Orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in Trauma and Sports Orthopaedics. He is the Head of the Department of Orthopaedics and Chief of Trauma at Auckland City Hospital and is a founding partner in UniSports Orthopaedics practicing in Auckland, Christchurch and Queenstown see problems for the knee, shoulder, foot and ankle. He returned to New Zealand 5 years ago after a period as an academic professor of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine at the University of Washington and helped establish a multi-disciplinary sports medicine clinic in Seattle and managed the Multi-Ligamentous Knee Injuries at the Harborview Trauma Centre. He is the current president of the New Zealand Knee and Sports Surgery Society. He is a former member of the ISAKOS Sports Medicine committee and previous Educational Chairman of AOTrauma Asia Pacific.
