My name is Daniel Nemirov, and I am a fourth-year medical student at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. I grew up on Long Island, before attending Cornell University for my undergraduate education. Before attending medical school, I completed a one-year orthopaedic basic research internship at the Hospital for Special Surgery. During this internship, I worked in the Laboratory for Joint Tissue Repair and Regeneration under the mentorship of Dr. Scott Rodeo. I completed a two-month research fellowship in the same laboratory in the summer between my first and second years of medical school. I will be applying for an orthopaedic surgery residency this upcoming application cycle.
