Dr. João Vide is an esteemed orthopaedic surgeon specialized in foot and ankle conditions. During his training background, Dr. Vide honed his expertise at some of the world's leading medical institutions: under Prof. Dr. Niek van Dijk at the AMC Amsterdam, Dr. Scott Ellis at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York and Prof. Dr. Hintermann in Liestal, Switzerland. Based in Lisbon, Portugal, Dr. Vide currently leads both the Foot and Ankle Unit at Hospital da Luz Lisboa and Hospital Particular do Algarve in Faro. He is an enthusiast lower limb biomechanics and is currently pursuing a PhD thesis focused on chronic Achilles tendon ruptures.
