Philip Wilson, MD

Philip Wilson, MD received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He completed both his internship in general surgery and residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He completed fellowships in pediatric orthopedics at Rady Childrens Hospital at the University of California San Diego and sports medicine at the ADIDAS Sports Medicine Institute, Auckland New Zealand. Wilson is a Professor at the UT Southwestern Medical School. He cares for patients in the Sports Medicine Center fir Excellence at the Scottish Rite for Children Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center in Frisco, Texas. As the Director of Sports Medicine, he leads many clinical and research projects in pediatric sports medicine He is active in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) and AOSSM Sports surgical society. He is a founding member of PRISM and has served on the board of directors and several committees. He is active in clinical care and research on ligament and chondral issues within the adolescent athlete population.
