The Hip Preservation Institute, UPMC Whitfield, Ireland Waterford IRELAND Mr. Patrick Carton MD FRCS (Tr&Orth) FFSEM, is an Orthopedic Surgeon and the Director of the UPMC Sports Medicine Clinics across Ireland, specialising in sports-related hip, groin and knee injuries and reconstructive surgery of the hip joint. To date he has performed more than 3,500 hip arthroscopy procedures for the treatment of labral tears and Femoro-Acetabular Impingement. He is an active member of the International Society of Hip Arthroscopy, a fellow of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine, Royal College of Surgeon Ireland and an honorary fellow of the World Society of Sports and Exercise Medicine.
