Dr. Ryan Degen is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in athletic injuries of the hip, shoulder and knee. Dr. Degen completed his residency training in orthopedic surgery at Western University, during which he also completed a Masters of Science in Medical Biophysics. After residency, Dr. Degen pursued a 2-year fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. In August 2017, Dr. Degen joined the Orthopedic Sports Medicine Team at the Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic, and was appointed Assistant Professor in Orthopedic Surgery at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. His research interests include hip impingement and resultant joint biomechanics, and clinical outcomes following surgical treatment of hip injuries.
