I am an an orthopaedic surgeon practicing in Rome, Italy, Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics at Link Campus University and orthopaedic consultant for the AS Roma football team. My clinical and academic interests focus on sports traumatology, knee ligament reconstruction, osteotomies around the knee, meniscal and cartilage procedures, and knee arthroplasty. I completed my residency in Orthopaedics and Traumatology at Sapienza University of Rome. I subsequently had the opportunity to train abroad through several fellowships, including a clinical fellowship at the Centre Orthopédique Santy in Lyon, France, and visiting fellowships at the Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine Fellowship in the United States and at Orthopädische Chirurgie München in Germany. I was also the recipient of two traveling fellowships: with the Société Francophone d’Arthroscopie in 2022 and with the Japanese Society of Sports Orthopaedics in 2024. Since 2022, I have been a member of the Scientific Anterior Cruciate Ligament Network International Study Group, an international research collaboration dedicated to the study of sports-related knee pathology. I previously worked at the University Sports Clinic in Toulouse, France, and as an orthopaedic surgeon at the CONI Olympic Institute of Sports Medicine and Science in Rome. I have also served team physician for the Italian Football Federation national youth and senior teams. I have co-authored approximately 100 scientific contributions, including peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and clinical guidelines, and I have been invited as a speaker at several international conferences, including ISAKOS, ESSKA, SFA, and SIAGASCOT. I am a member of several national and international scientific societies, including the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, the European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy, the Société Francophone d’Arthroscopie, and SIAGASCOT, where I am involved in various committees and working groups, and I am president of the "SIAGASCOT 4 Future", the young section of the society.
