Bobby completed his undergraduate degree at Brown University and his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. He completed his residency training at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, and is currently a fellow at the John A. Feagin, Jr. Sports Medicine Fellowship at the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY.
