Dr. Ashraf Hantouly is an orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty training in sports medicine and a focused interest in shoulder and knee injuries. He is currently completing a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Aspetar Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital in Doha, Qatar, where he is actively involved in both advanced clinical care and academic research. His clinical and research work centers on athletic knee and shoulder pathologies, with particular expertise in ACL reconstruction, shoulder instability, and return-to-sport strategies. Dr. Hantouly is dedicated to delivering individualized, athlete-centered care, integrating sport-specific demands, performance goals, and cultural differences to optimize outcomes. Dr. Hantouly holds a Master of Science in Global Public Health and Policy from Queen Mary University of London. He has authored over 50 peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts and book chapters, and has delivered numerous national and international presentations and research workshops, with a strong focus on advancing evidence-based practice and knowledge translation in sports medicine.
