Steven Claes, MD, PhD (39) is an orthopedic surgeon working in AZ Herentals Hospital in Belgium, with a specific expertise in knee instabilities and sports injuries. To date, he has performed extensive research on cruciate ligament injuries and knee osteotomy. In 2013, he obtained a Doctoral Degree in Biomedical Sciences at KULeuven University for innovative work on the knee’s Anterolateral Ligament (ALL). His research was awarded with the biennial John Joyce award at the ISAKOS congress in Toronto, Canada in 2013.
