Dr Panagiotis G. Ntagiopoulos is an orthopaedic surgeon who graduated from Athens Medical School. His orthopaedic training was performed in Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS hospital in London, UK and continued in Athens General Hospital ‘G. Gennimatas’, Greece. After his orthopaedic board qualification, Dr Ntagiopoulos had a strong interest in knee surgery. His training continued with a knee and hip fellowship program in ATOS Klinik, Heidelberg, Germany. Later, Dr Ntagiopoulos worked and trained with Dr Dejour in the famous Lyon School of Knee Surgery in France for over 2 years. During this period, he focused on the treatment of knee problems both degenerative (osteoarthritis) and ligamentous (sports arthroscopy). Most important, Dr Ntagiopoulos was privileged to attend the works of Dr Dejour’s special field of interest: the treatment of patellofemoral disorders and patellar dislocation. Dr Ntagiopoulos has numerous publications in well-known orthopaedic journals, especially on knee surgery, is an author in books on anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and knee surgery and has attended as a presenter of his work all major international orthopaedic congresses, such as AAOS, ISAKOS, EFORT, ESSKA, International Knee Update, etc. He is a fully licensed member of the General Medical Council, member of Athens’ Medical Association and member of the European Society of Sports Traumatology Knee Surgery & Arthroscopy. Dr Ntagiopoulos is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon in Mediterraneo Hospital in Athens.
