His research focus was on physical activity after high tibial osteotomy and the use of graft materials during HTO. James works as a clinical research consultant, and is a visiting lecturer in Sport & Exercise Science at the University of Winchester and Brunel University London. He received a master's degree from the University of Konstanz (Germany) and an undergraduate degree from the University of Wolverhampton (UK), and is a fluent English and German speaker.
