Spencer Stein, MD is a an Asstant Professor in the Division of Sports medicine at NYU Lagone Health.
He completed his fellowship training at the renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles. While there, he served as assistant team physician for the LA Dodgers, Pepperdine Waves, Anaheim Ducks, LA Sparks, PGA tour athletes and the LA Rams at the NFL combine. Prior to his fellowship, Spencer completed his residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at Northwell-LIJ, where he served as chief resident.
His research interests are grounded in improving patient outcomes and their experiences. He has published and presented at national and international conferences on topics such as cartilage restoration, ACL reconstruction, and injuries to the shoulder and elbow.
He is originally from New York City and in his spare time, he enjoys activities such as basketball, golf, tennis and spending time with his family and beloved Yorkie, Lucy.
