Dr. Dan Matthews, President and CEO of Alabama Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, (AOSM) also serves as an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of South Alabama School of Medicine. A Military Veteran, Dr. Dan served as an Orthopaedic Surgeon at the First Fighter Wing Hospital, Langley Air Force base, Virginia before he moved to Fairhope Alabama where he has been in private practice for past 25 years. Dr. Dan graduated from the University of South Florida School of Medicine and completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at The University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Ms. He completed an AO Fellowship in Bochum Germany and is board certified with a subspecialty in Sports Medicine. He has been married to his wife Cathy for 32 years and has two adult children. His a fellow of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of CMDA, AANA and AOSSM.
