João Alberto R. Maradei Pereira currently is chief of Hospital Maradei’s Knee Group, a philantopic hospital and research center on musculoskeletal diseases in Brazilian Amazon region (Belém, Pará). He is professor of Orthopedics and Traumatology at Universidade Federal do Pará Medical School (www.ufpa.br), where is responsible for randomized clinical trials on orthopedics. Member of the Scientific Committee of Brazilian Knee Surgery Society (www.sbcj.org.br). Winner of John Joyce Award 3rd place in ISAKOS Florence Congress 2007 and Editor’s Award of best Paper of Journal of Hand Surgery European in 2021. Medical Residency in Orthopedics and Traumatology, Knee Surgery Fellowship, Master Degree (MSc) and Doctorate (PhD) at Universidade de São Paulo (www.usp.br).
