Luke S. Oh, MD is the Head Team Orthopaedic Surgeon for the Orlando Magic (NBA) and Medical Director of Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at AdventHealth and Rothman Orthopaedics Florida. ---------- Dr. Oh is an internationally renowned, triple-fellowship trained, Board Certified Sports Medicine Orthopaedic Surgeon. Prior to his recruitment to AdventHealth and Rothman Orthopaedics in July 2022, Dr. Oh was a full-time, tenured faculty member at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital for 14 years, and a team physician for the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, New England Revolution, and consultant for the Boston Bruins and Harvard University for over 12 years. He is the Emeritus Program Director of the Harvard-MGH Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship, who received the 2022 Golden Apple Teacher of the Year Award from the Harvard Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program. ---------- Dr. Oh's clinical reputation and cutting-edge research have garnered national and international recognition. He received the 2021 ASES Research Grant Award to investigate a new therapy to improve rotator cuff healing. In 2020, Dr. Oh and his team won the ISS Best Paper Award for using artificial intelligence to interpret shoulder MRIs. In 2018, the New England Baseball Journal named Dr. Oh in their Most Influential People list. His research team also won the ESSKA Best Upper Extremity Paper that year. In 2016, he was awarded the ICSES Best Oral Poster Presentation Award for research on shoulder & elbow biomechanics of the softball fastpitch. In 2015, Dr. Oh was one of three North American surgeons selected for the AOSSM Traveling Fellowship to Asia. In 2010, Dr. Oh won the ASES Mel Post Award for Excellence in Clinical Research. In 2009, he was a member of the research team that received the AOSSM O'Donoghue Sports Injury (Best Research) Award for a biomechanical study of ligament reconstruction on knee joint function. ---------- Dr. Oh received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University College of Arts & Sciences and medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine.
