Dr Jay Ebert is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Human Sciences (Exercise and Sport Science), within the University of Western Australia (UWA), as well as a Director and full-time practicing Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) at the HFRC Rehabilitation Clinic. He is also the Director of Research at the Perth Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Research Institute, and a Director of the Orthopaedic Research Foundation of Western Australia. His clinical and research focus is in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and orthopaedics, and through this work he has published and presented extensively in high-quality international peer reviewed journals, undertaken in collaboration with orthopaedic surgeons, cell biologists, physical therapists and experimental biomechanists.
