University of Queensland Brisbane, QLD AUSTRALIA Dr Myers is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in Sports Medicine. After completing Orthopaedic training in Australia Dr Myers undertook Fellowships in Sports Orthopaedic Centres in Atlanta (USA), Toronto (Canada), and Edinburgh (Scotland). He is in private practice at the Brisbane Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre and is an Associate Professor at the University of Queensland. He has a keen interest in joint preservation. Dr Myers attends a number of Brisbane's Sporting Clubs and is on various State, National and International Committees. He is a past President of the Australian Knee Society and a past FRACS Examiner. He has published and presented numerous papers on Sports Orthopaedics and other topics both Nationally and Internationally. In 1992 he was awarded Honorary Membership of the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine. In 2000 he was awarded the Australian Sports Medal for services to sport.
