Dr Lee Kong Hwee is a Senior Consultant in Orthopaedic Surgery and Director of the Sports Service at Singapore General Hospital. He is the Founding President of the Singapore Knee Preservation Society, and Adjunct Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School. Dr Lee's clinical practice centres on knee preservation surgery, prioritising on restoring the native joint over replacement, particularly in younger and active patients. His areas of interest include alignment osteotomies, knee distraction for cartilage restoration, meniscal repair, and ligament reconstruction. He leads a dedicated knee preservation programme at SGH, and is an active advocate for advancing knee preservation as a recognised subspecialty across Singapore and the broader region.
