Despite the overwhelming amount of marketing for "high performance" TKR's, outcome studies suggest that there remains a high degree of dissatisfaction with "feel" of TKR's. Is it realistic to believe that the feeling and function of a knee can be provided by a prosthesis. The purpose is to identify realistic goals for TKR surgery and allow appropriate advice for patients.
