Ran is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee surgery. He completed his Medical Degree and a Master in Biomechanical Engineering in 2006. After a general surgery internship and orthopaedic surgery residency here at NYU Langone medical center Hospital for Joint Diseases, He completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction and total joint replacement surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School.
He graduated summa cum laude from both his bachelor of science degree and master’s degree in biomedical engineering programs at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where he later graduated as valedictorian of his medical class.
His practice at NYU Langone Medical Center Hospital for Joint Diseases focuses specifically on caring for people with hip and knee conditions. He has a particular interest in degenerative joint disease of the hips and
knees. Other areas of focus include treatment for people with developmental hip dysplasia, avascular necrosis, posttraumatic arthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis.
