Shurong Zhang, MD, PhD

Dr. Zhang Shurong graduated from the eight-year Clinical Medicine program at Fudan University in 2012 and obtained a Ph.D. in Orthopedics from Kobe University in Japan in 2016. She is currently an Associate Chief Physician in the Department of Sports Medicine at Huashan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, a member of the Youth Committee of the Shanghai Society of Sports Medicine, Shanghai Society of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine, and a member of the Shanghai Health Science Popularization Expert Database. Her primary focus is on arthroscopic minimally invasive treatment for the repair of joint ligament and cartilage injuries, including synovitis, cartilage injuries, ligament injuries, meniscus injuries, patellar instability, ankle instability, refractory shoulder pain, and joint instability. She is also engaged in ultrasound-guided precision interventional therapy and regenerative treatments for musculoskeletal system diseases, as well as the development of exercise prescriptions for various chronic diseases. To date, she has published over 10 papers in SCI-indexed journals such as the American Journal of Sports Medicine (AJSM) and has led or participated in 6 national and provincial-level research projects.
