There are evidence that the ACL is not an oval structure but a band- or lasagna- like ligament in the femoral insertion and Midsubstunce . Finally very close to the tibial attachment is widening resembling to a Trompette. Surgeons have to be aware of this morphology to choose the best graft resembling to the natural ACL for an anatomical ACL reconstruction
