Dear ISAKOS Members,

As we enter 2026, we are pleased to launch the second iteration of the Excellence in Authorship program. This initiative is designed to support researchers from low- and middle-income countries by providing mentorship from leading scientists and academics, with the goal of facilitating high-quality manuscript publication in the Journal of ISAKOS.

We are also delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Volker Musahl as Associate Editor-in-Chief of the Journal. His leadership and scholarly expertise will further strengthen the Journal’s commitment to academic rigor and inclusive excellence.

Together, we will continue to advance the Journal’s mission while actively expanding our community through the recruitment of engaged reviewers and contributors who share an interest in supporting the Journal’s growth.

The year has begun with a strong pipeline of high-quality submissions, and we look forward to sustaining this momentum. As always, we remain committed to serving our global audience by disseminating the highest-quality evidence in sports medicine throughout the year ahead.
