Charges

The following charges are the 2023 - 2025 committee term.

  • Awards & Fellowships
    • Assist with development of draft itinerary budget for approval
    • Coordinate mentoring and travel fellowship of Young Investigators Part II winners, in collaboration with Scientific Committee, which selects the winners for the Young Investigators Scholarship and Research Mentoring Program.
    • Explore the possibility of establishing second tier traveling fellowship opportunities for shorter visitation.
    • Identify resources to support Global Traveling Fellowship, taking into account challenges and opportunities of each region (e.g. travel agency resources, vaccination requirements, medical center requirements, etc.).
    • In collaboration with Godfather, plan Global Traveling Fellowship two-week itinerary, including Centers to be visited and attendance at ISAKOS Congress. Assist with development of draft itinerary budget for approval.
    • Oversee the ISAKOS Traveling Fellowship programs, including application requirements and application review/scoring, contact with Fellows, and post-fellowship reporting.
    • With input from President and Board of Directors, nominate volunteers to serve as Global Traveling Fellowship Godfather. If possible, Godfather should reside in same region as the upcoming ISAKOS Congress.
  • Publications
    • Identify opportunities for Global Traveling Fellows to contribute to ISAKOS through newsletter articles, JISAKOS articles, podcasts, publications, webinars, and committee involvement.
