Our Sports Medicine Fellowship is a one-year, ACGME accredited program that encompasses a full range of athletic injuries with emphasis in elbow, shoulder, and knee surgery. The fellowship provides a broad experience in all aspects of the care of the athlete. The program provides opportunities to participate in injury prevention programs, performance enhancement programs, on field and training room diagnostic opportunities and extensive inpatient and outpatient musculoskeletal care.
The Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Rochester is based at Strong Memorial Hospital -a tertiary care referral center for Sports Medicine. The outpatient clinic, the University Sports Medicine Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, and outpatient surgery center are under the purview of Strong Memorial Hospital.
The fellow is exposed to the entire spectrum of sports related conditions under one primary site. The fellow participates in greater than 3500 patient visits, and nearly 1000 operative cases per year.
