The Department of Sports Orthopaedics at TUM University Hospital rechts der Isar provides fellows with exposure to a broad and highly specialized spectrum of sports medicine. The department treats acute injuries and degenerative joint conditions involving the shoulder, elbow, knee, and ankle, as well as tendon and muscle injuries. Fellows benefit from a university-based environment that combines advanced diagnostics, reconstructive (shoulder arthroplasty) and corrective surgery, and minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques with strong integration into research and teaching. As part of one of Germany’s leading university hospitals, the section brings together clinical excellence, research, and education and is presented as one of the only university-affiliated specialized sports medicine program in the country. . Language: Excellent English language skills are required. For resident applicants: only those in postgraduate year 3 or above may apply Duration: minimum of 3 months up to 1 year Research: Fellows are encouraged to engage in research activities.
