Dear ISAKOS members and friends,
Our newly designed ISAKOS eNewsletter is growing fast. We have increased the frequency of publication from 2 issues per year (for the original ISAKOS newsletter) to 3 issues per year (for the recently launched ISAKOS eNewsletter). We have also increased the number of articles per issue. The current issue comprises 8 excellent articles, including 7 current perspectives and one lifetime journey summary by Prof. Per Renstrom, the recent winner of the Freddie Fu lifetime achievement award. We would like to thank to all our readers, article authors, and everyone who shares this experience via their personal devices and institutional digital platforms. In keeping with our mission, we believe that ISAKOS articles should be accessible to everyone!
In this third issue of 2025, we encourage you to join Prof. Per Renstrom as he shares his lifetime of wisdom, recently presented at the ISAKOS Congress in Munich. Next, we invite you to enrich your sports medicine knowledge with articles and 90-second videos focusing on bone health in athletes, shoulder kinematics in rotator cuff tear management, orthobiologics in cuff tear management, knee arthroplasty implant alignment assessment, the evolution of classification systems for trochlear dysplasia, the versatility of the rectus femoris tendon as a graft option in ligament reconstruction, and lateral ankle ligament surgical repair.
Please also notice that a “5-in-1 video collection” has recently been added to the ISAKOS eNewsletter Archive and now appears at the top of the eNewsletter web page, making it much easier for users to simply scroll through the informative 90-second current perspective videos in a single location.
In this issue’s current perspective Podcast, we discuss aspects of bone health in athletes, with a focus on female athletes. This is a highly important topic in our field, so please take your time and enjoy listening.
Stay tuned, follow our Podcasts and informative videos, and enjoy your ISAKOS learning experience wherever you are!
Sincerely yours,
