Subspecialist in adult knee surgery, with comprehensive knowledge in conservative and surgical management, providing the tools to develop knee surgery and actively participate with advanced knowledge in a subspecialty team.
Trained in both Reconstructive Surgery and Knee Joint Replacement, with a special academic development profile that provides tools to develop their expertise critically in both clinical and academic fields.
OBJECTIVE:
To train specialists in adult knee reconstructive and preservation surgery, integral and comprehensive, with an emphasis on sports traumatology surgery, Reconstructive and Prosthetic Surgery.
METHODOLOGY:
Theoretical: Weekly seminars and team research meetings.
Priority for academic activities such as courses and congresses.
Protected research time.
Practical:
Participation in surgeries and procedures related to the specialty. Our center performs XXX surgeries annually.
Surgical Skills Training Center (Centro Noxis): Our institution has an advanced training center, located within our facilities. The fellow's training includes:
Active participation in practical courses.
Training and access to the simulated and cadaveric surgical simulation laboratory.
Innovation Center and Biomechanics Laboratory: Our center has an advanced biomechanics laboratory for the development of studies and evaluation of surgical techniques, as well as advanced clinical evaluation with cutting-edge technology for surgical patients.
Mandatory congress presentation.
Participation in Clinical Meetings: Clínica MEDS and SCHOT.
Attendance at specialty congresses: SCHOT, SOCHMEDEP, SLARD, and others (elective).
Rotations in rehabilitation, Innovation Unit, Cellular and Regenerative Therapy, Imaging, Sports Science course, Trauma center.
Rotation through knee sub-teams.
Attendance at the respective SCHOT subspecialty committee.
Participation and registration in at least 2-3 theoretical-practical courses at the surgical skills center.
