Recent activity of Teaching Center: In recent years, the Foundation and Prof. Alberto Gobbi’s group have maintained high research output and visibility in the orthobiologics and cartilage preservation field. The center has hosted visiting scholars and collaborators from multiple countries and has been involved in international congresses and workshops.

Other support that the Teaching Center can provide: In addition to the monthly stipend and assistance with accommodation search, the Foundation provides fellows with comprehensive research mentorship, and opportunities for co-authorship in peer-reviewed publications and book chapters,
Estimate of Living Expenses (Housing and other major costs): Shared apartments or modest studios may be available for around €600-900/month.
Fellows receive a monthly stipend from the program, and while they are responsible for arranging their own accommodation, assistance is provided in finding suitable housing options near the Foundation.

Role of the fellow with respect to Clinical, Surgical, Research, and other opportunities: Fellows are expected to assist in clinical practice by participating in outpatient consultations and maintaining patient records, to be actively involved in surgical activities including arthroscopic and open procedures with emphasis on joint preservation, cartilage restoration, orthobiologics, and sports-related cases, and to contribute to research by collecting and analyzing data, preparing manuscripts, and producing publications under guidance.

Research projects, research facilities and resources, cadaver labs, publication opportunities, integration of the patient and public involvement, and the role of the fellow: Our Foundation offers fellows extensive opportunities for research and academic development. Numerous ongoing clinical and translational research projects are available, particularly in the areas of orthobiologics, regenerative medicine, and joint preservation. Current projects include investigations on the P.A.S.T.A. technique and PRP as well as other biologics for cartilage and soft-tissue applications.
The Foundation’s research facility is integrated within the Milan clinic, allowing fellows to participate directly in study design, data collection, patient follow-up, and analysis.
Publication opportunities are abundant, with fellows regularly contributing to peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters in collaboration with Prof. Gobbi and the research team.
Fellows are expected to play an active role in ongoing studies, with strong encouragement to produce publications during their stay.
Related Conference/Lecture Schedule: Fellows benefit from continuous one-on-one teaching in the outpatient clinic and operating room, as well as structured involvement in ongoing research projects. In addition, fellows often accompany Prof. Gobbi to international conferences and courses, where they gain exposure to cutting-edge developments in orthobiologics, regenerative medicine, and joint preservation.
