Charges

The following charges are the 2025 - 2027 committee term.

  • Awards & Fellowships
    • Select the winner for the John J. Joyce Award at the ISAKOS Congress.
  • Congress
    • Achieve growth in three key Congress components – attendance, exhibits, and grants & sponsorships, to increase net income by 25%.
    • Collaborate with Committees, members, and others to achieve the mission.
    • Collaborate with Innovations task force to develop and implement innovations and new technologies for the 2027 Congress in Sydney.
    • Develop a Biennial Congress overview with specific objectives for each phase of the meeting – scientific presentations, Instructional Courses, surgical demonstrations, symposia, scientific exhibits, and other as required.
    • Evaluate and provide recommendations for ISAKOS Congress Concurrent Course options based on educational gaps and regional need.
    • Evaluate the previous Biennial Congress and make recommendations for change to future meetings.
    • Work with staff in the creation of Abstract Categories, and review of abstracts.
    • Work with staff on the structure of the Committee to enhance efficiencies and effectiveness – i.e. specific assignments for sections of the Congress.
  • Strategic Plan
    • Advance the fulfillment/achievement of the ISAKOS Strategic Plan. Consider with all Committee initiatives how projects will assist in the accomplishment of the ISAKOS Strategic Plan.
