Develop a strong educational Biennial Congress for the Society, exceeding member expectations and
member needs, and contribute to the overall education activities of ISAKOS.

Charges
The following charges are the 2025 - 2027 committee term.
- Awards & Fellowships
- Select the winner for the John J. Joyce Award at the ISAKOS Congress.
- Congress
- Achieve growth in three key Congress components – attendance, exhibits, and grants & sponsorships, to increase net income by 25%.
- Collaborate with Committees, members, and others to achieve the mission.
- Collaborate with Innovations task force to develop and implement innovations and new technologies for the 2027 Congress in Sydney.
- Develop a Biennial Congress overview with specific objectives for each phase of the meeting – scientific presentations, Instructional Courses, surgical demonstrations, symposia, scientific exhibits, and other as required.
- Evaluate and provide recommendations for ISAKOS Congress Concurrent Course options based on educational gaps and regional need.
- Evaluate the previous Biennial Congress and make recommendations for change to future meetings.
- Work with staff in the creation of Abstract Categories, and review of abstracts.
- Work with staff on the structure of the Committee to enhance efficiencies and effectiveness – i.e. specific assignments for sections of the Congress.
- Strategic Plan
- Advance the fulfillment/achievement of the ISAKOS Strategic Plan. Consider with all Committee initiatives how projects will assist in the accomplishment of the ISAKOS Strategic Plan.
