Our center is highly specialized on Hip- Knee and Foot Surgery, sports Traumatologie and Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery. Each specialty is represented by one of our very experienced senior consultants. We perform about 50-70 surgeries per week in above fields. Beside clinical work we have a research department for studies and are linked to Heidelberg University for research projects.The ATOS Hospital is specialized on Orthopedic Surgery and has 80 beds.

Research projects, research facilities and resources, cadaver labs, publication opportunities, integration of the patient and public involvement, and the role of the fellow: We have about 10 running research projects on knee, hip and foot, mostly clinical. Topics are e.g. on cartilage, ACL, meniscus allografts, patellofemoral joint, achilles tendon, ankle joints. the fellow may work in a team to learn about the research and may write a scientific paper. this depends on the length of the stay in our center and should be at least 3-6 months.
