ISAKOS eNewsletters   Current Perspective 2025   rating (1)

The ISAKOS Newsletter is entering a new era, and this issue is the first online-only version after 27 years of printed versions. Please enjoy this transformation and familiarize yourself with the ISAKOS eNewsletter!

In addition to continuing the tradition of distributing messages from our society leaders, ISAKOS initiatives, and upcoming courses throughout the globe, the digital platform of the eNewsletter now includes exciting new features aimed at enhancing the popularity of our society and optimizing the distribution of ISAKOS content, further supporting our mission.

One of the key new features is the "5-in-1 quick-show" video, which will accompany each Current Perspective article. In this issue, you will find six Current Perspectives, all of which are related to our strong presence and evolving future, particularly in adopting AI-assisted technologies and embracing professional training perceptions into our sports medicine world. Each 5-in-1 video is a 60 to 90-second summary of the main message of the article, offering a quick and efficient way to deliver the content in an easy and fun interaction. Following the video, you can decide whether to dive deeper into the subject by reading the entire article or by exploring the specific subject through your preferred AI engine or another efficient means with which you are more familiar. In the near future, a quick-show video library will be made available as an additional, easily accessible learning resource.

Another exciting new feature of this new digital platform is the introduction of Debate Podcasts, typically 15 minutes in length, which will accompany each issue of the eNewsletter. In each issue, selected Current Perspective articles are presented by the authors in collaboration with the eNewsletter editorial team. This issue’s podcast highlights the role of AI technology in assisting with preoperative planning and execution of osteotomies around the knee using PSIs. In the near future, additional novel features will be introduced into this continuously evolving platform for the benefit of all our members as a whole and our young professionals in particular. Stay tuned!

Another initiative launched recently by the Newsletter editorial team is the ISAKOS Newsletter award. This award will be presented to the authors of the top 3 Current Perspective articles published in our Newsletter between two consecutive ISAKOS congresses. The authors will be invited to present their work during the ISAKOS congress and to provide updates on their progress following the publication of their Current Perspective article.

The digital era also has led us to promote social networks, where you will be able to access the content of our newsletter weekly. Every Wednesday, you will find content about our Current Perspective articles, learn a little more about us, and enjoy direct access to our podcasts, interviews, and so much more! Join our #ISAKOSenewsletter community every Wednesday, follow us on Instagram, and don’t forget to share our content with our hashtag #ISAKOSenewsletter.

We look forward to welcoming you to the next ISAKOS congress in Munich! During this event, you can expect an unforgettable experience of global knowledge-sharing and an opportunity to forge new friendships and collaborations. Please do not forget to visit the ISAKOS booth and theater in Munich. Please come and share your thoughts during the event, when the 3 winners of the eNewsletter Current Perspective awards will be announced and present their work.

Last but not least, we would like to remind you about our society's other digital resources including JISAKOS, ISAKOS Global Link, weekly ISAKOS Digital Digest news brief, and bi-weekly ISAKOS Global Link Spotlight of personalized, curated content, which uses AI technology to tailor every professional the perfect personalized knowledge suit!

We are extremely excited about this transformation of our society's eNewsletter and hope that you will find it insightful and valuable.

Sincerely yours,

Iftach Hetsroni, MD, Assoc. Prof. ISRAEL, Editor in Chief

Nikolaos Paschos, MD, PhD USA, Deputy Editor
