Franco Della Vedova MD is an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in shoulder and knee arthroscopic surgery and in sports and regenerative medicine. He practices medicine at the Instituto Dr. Jaime Slullitel and Sanatorio de la Mujer, in Rosario, Argentina, one of the most prestigious orthopaedic centers in the country. He obtained his medical degree in the Universidad Nacional de Rosario and completed his medical residency and fellowship in arthroscopic and sports medicine at Dr. Jaime Sllulitel Institute. He has trained in sports medicine in several travelling fellowships, e.g., at the University of Miami, with Dr. Lee Kaplan and at the Cleveland Clinic with Dr. John Bergfeld. He has always been involved in several scientific societies and is currently a member of the Sports Medicine Committee and the Young Professional Task Force of ISAKOS, the Orthobiologics Committee and the Media Committee of SLARD. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Argentine Association of Orthopedic Sports Traumatology (AATD) and chair of the Team Physician Course in this association. He has specialized in the care of rugby players. He is a World Rugby medical educator. He was the team physician of the Jaguares, the Argentine professional team in super rugby and of the Pumas (Argentine national team). He is the Medical Director of the Rosario Rugby Union,  was the head medical manager of the 2019 Under 20 Rugby World Cup in Rosario-Argentina and the medical coordinator of the South American Youth Games in Rosario, Argentina, in 2022. He is devoted to training residents in Orthopedics and fellows in Sports Medicine at Dr. Jaime Slullitel Institute. He is an Assistant Professor of Orthopedics at the School of Medicine of the Universidad Abierta Interamericana, Rosario,Argentina. He has published several papers in national and international journals and has been awarded several prizes such as The Best Scientific Paper at the Argentine Association of Arthroscopy, 2015; the First Award at the Residency Orthopedics National Olympics, Argentine Association of Orthopedics and Traumatology and the ACCISIT award (Best Paper) in 2012.
