Parc Sanitari Sant Joan De Deu Barcelona, Barcelona SPAIN Dr. Federico Ibañez is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and musculoskeletal ultrasound, currently based in Barcelona. Originally trained in Argentina, Dr. Ibañez earned a medical degree and completed surgical training in orthopedics before pursuing advanced expertise internationally. He completed a prestigious Fellowship in Knee Surgery in Spain and holds a Diploma in Sports Medicine from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in Switzerland. His professional experience includes being part of the Knee Surgery Unit at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona, as well as serving as an Orthopedic Surgeon at the Polyclinic Olympic Village during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, providing care to world-class athletes. He is an active member of several leading organizations, including the European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA), the Spanish Association of Arthroscopy (AEA), the Spanish Society of Sports Medicine (SEMED), and the Spanish Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology (SECOT).
