University of Illinois Chicago Chicago, IL UNITED STATES Dr. Yazdan Raji is an Assistant Professor of orthopaedic surgery at University of Illinois Chicago, specializing in sports medicine and shoulder surgery. He also serves as a Team Physician for UIC Flames Athletics. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and earned his Medical Degree from the Medical College of Georgia. His postgraduate training includes an orthopaedic surgery residency at University Hospitals/Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and a visiting rotation in shoulder surgery at Foundación Jiménez Díaz, Universidad Autónoma in Madrid, Spain. He completed his fellowship in orthopaedic sports medicine at Stanford University. He has been an active member of several professional societies, demonstrating leadership and service through roles such as President of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and participation in the AOSSM Marketing and Communications Committee and AAOS Sports Medicine Evaluation Committee.
