Dr. Amit Meena is a fellowship-trained, internationally recognized orthopaedic surgeon specializing in joint replacement, sports injuries, and complex knee surgery. He completed his medical education and orthopaedic training at Vardhaman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, one of India's premier academic institutions. He subsequently served as a Senior Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Central Institute of Orthopaedics, New Delhi, one of the country's busiest and most respected orthopaedic centres. He completed three and a half years of advanced fellowship training in joint replacement, sports medicine, and complex knee surgery at internationally renowned institutions, including the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute, Italy; Gelenkpunkt – Sports and Joint Surgery, FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence, Austria; Western University, London, Ontario, Canada; and Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada. His fellowship training focused on primary and revision joint replacement, robotic knee replacement, robotic partial knee replacement, complex knee reconstruction, ligament surgery, and the management of sports injuries in professional athletes. Dr. Meena has received numerous national and international honours, including the ESSKA Best Reviewer of the Year Award (2021, Paris, France), the K.T. Dholakia Award for Excellence in Joint Replacement, finalist recognition for the John J. Joyce Award and Paolo Aglietti Award at the ISAKOS Congress 2023 (Boston, USA), selection as an ISAKOS Global Traveling Fellow (2023–2025) representing the Asia-Pacific region, the Best Research Award at the ESSKA Congress 2026 (Prague, Czech Republic), and the Best Podcast Award from the American Journal of Sports Medicine (AJSM) at the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) Annual Meeting 2026 (Washington, USA). He has authored more than 100 scientific publications and textbook chapters in leading international orthopaedic journals. His research focuses on joint replacement, knee surgery, implant design, surgical technology, robotics, navigation, functional recovery, and knee preservation. He serves as a reviewer for JBJS, AJSM, CORR, Arthroscopy, KSSTA, JEO, OJSM, and JISAKOS, and is the Knee Section Editor of the Indian Journal of Orthopaedics. Dr. Meena is an invited faculty member at leading national and international orthopaedic conferences and is an active member of prestigious organizations, including the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS), the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA), the Asia-Pacific Knee, Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Society (APKASS), the ACL Study Group, and the Magellan Society.
